As there were no facilities for private consultation rooms either within the Cork University Hospital Campus or in the immediate area. a section of land on one of the boundaries was sold to a group of Consultants and the practice was commissioned to design a stand alone Clinic building of some 20 suites, over three floors. with some central facilities, located within walking distance of the main hospital.
